Kansenji Rhodesian Ridgebacks

The Rhodesian Ridgeback takes it’s name from the ridge of hair growing the wrong way down its spine, and it’s origin in Rhodesia where the breed was developed for hunting lions. The Ridgeback is an agile dog, very powerful and fast. The ridge is a feature of the breed and there are two crowns either side of the ridge just behind the shoulders. These days the Ridgeback is used in their native Africa as a guard dog. They are excellent family dogs, good with children, affectionate, very loyal and naturally protective to their family.
