2022 Competition Season

Kansenji in Competition 2022

The National Dog Show (GCh)
Friday 6th May 2022
Stafford

Delighted with a lovely set of tickets for the Kansenji team after a long overnight trip to the National Dog Show at Stafford for the Friday Hound Competitions. The Kansenji girls placed in all their classes under International Judge, Mr Rodi Hubenthal (Sweden).

Especially pleased with their stability in the stack, given his very thorough teeth examinations etc. And it was good to see all the dogs being run more than usual to assess their movement, and that was also reflected in the excellent critique of the Judge.

Zara awarded Reserve in PB and VHC in JB in the bigger puppy group. Still just 10 months old and the team baby, she is settling well into the routine and the atmosphere. Her sister Indy was 1st in GB, and mum Noor 2nd in VB. Indy into another CC challenge.

All three working together in the KC Breeder Competition was the highlight and most rewarding part of the day being awarded 2nd out of 6 very professional and talented teams. 1st went to the four strong Bazinga Pharaoh Hounds, before a highly experienced Judge, Mr Keith Young pointed us straight out for second, between the two sets of Whippets, a Harrier and Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit) teams.

Another milestone moment for Kansenji at Stafford, to be placed so clearly against such quality teams. Not only that, but also as handlers it was a great result, thanks again to Ellie Darling Steele with Indy and Maghan Alexandra Smith with Zara. All settling into the discipline of six (dogs and handlers), working as one and getting recognised for the quality of Noor and her protégé side by side, being reflected in the complements from the Judge and Ring Steward.
